Thanksgiving 2010 we spent with Grandma, Grandpa and Lucille.
My family has suffered and endured more loss this year than anyone can imagine. In January our first loss was my sister's mother-n-law Lucille a sweet lady in her own way. It is beleived we lost her do to multible strokes with in a very very short period of time. While she was in the hopital my Grandpa Roy was visiting Grandma Belle in the nursing home as he did everyday (Grandma Belle suffered from Alzheimer). Grandpa was on his way to the bathroom and he miss stepped and fell and hit his head on the concrete floor. They rushed him to the hospital and preformed emergency surgury. He made it through the surgury and when he did wake up my Mom and Aunt Kathy were there with him. They were play fighting and Grandpa looked at them both and said they were crazy. Shortly after that he lost consciousness, I arrived on a Wednesday. Went to see him and unfortunately he did not awaken for me (my heart was beginning to break). On Friday we burried Lucille. We returned to the hopital hoping and praying for a miracle. Grandpa began to have seizures, but he was still holding on. We finally realized he was not holding on for us he was holding on for Grandma Belle. So on Saturday me and Papa Lou went to get her and took her to see him, my mom had to explain to her what had happen to him and that is why he was in the hospital. Grandma kept asking was won't he wake up. We told Grandma to tell Grandpa it was ok to go home and we will see him soon. See gave him one last kiss and see said goodbye. We took her back to the nursing home and she asked where Grandpa was (bless her heart she did not know that she just visited him). I tell my Grandma why are you so beautiful she says because you are. she held on to my hand tightly and said I love you hita. We returned to the hospital there were no real changes in his condition. On Sunday I had to return home to Atlanta, I said my goodbyes to Grandpa knowing in my heart that would be the last time I would see him alive. On Monday 01/24/11 the doctors evaluated Grandpa's condition and no improvement infact they said the he was not even breating on his own any more. The family had to make a decision to let him go. On 1/25/11 my Grandpa died, he was 85. His death was and is extreamely hard to deal with because we feel that he a yanked from us way to early. Three months later my dear sweet Grandmother entered into the hospital on a Wednesday with acute infections and on Saturday I received a call that she too had passed away. Grandma's passing although hard but at the same time is easier to deal with because we all know what the outcome was, you see she was in stage 6 of 7. I miss them all, especially my Grandparents. As Thanksgiving approaches I find my self very sad, not knowing how we will all get through this years holidays without our loved ones.......

Monday ~ Monday
Monday morning came way to soon, especially since I did not sleep well. Got up at my usual time got ready for work and had a cup of my favorite coffee (A Folgers Single), I know to some, it is not real coffee unless you actually brew it in a coffee pot. To be honest I do not have the time or patience to wait. Soooo, I managed to leave for work on time and about a mile or two down the road I look at my left arm and noticed.....Yep your right I actually put my shirt on inside out. I keep thinking to myself hmmm at the next stop light should I just chance it and turn my shirt right side out, ok lets not get crazy here I did not do it. Instead I waited til I got to work and turned it right side out only to spill my second cup coffee on it. Funny thing is this is not the first time I have done this. Come to think about it I have done this with shoes too. one day I wore one black and brown shoe to work and did not even notice until I got home from work. Not one person told me about that one. All I can do is laugh at myself.
